  • If your world is falling apart, talk to someone.

If your world is falling apart, talk to someone.

If your world is falling apart, talk to someone.

I’m not writing this to make you feel good. Let’s just get that out of the way. I’m writing this specifically for someone, maybe a few someone’s, even though I truthfully do not know who any of you are. Yes, to a degree I have churchgoers generally in mind as I write this. I see too many people living each day in a way that could be described by words like “Suffering”, “Disaster”, and “Self-Destructive”.

If your world is falling apart, talk to someone.

Some of you married folks have the worst marriages I’ve ever seen. Husbands and wives are shamefully shouting at each other, even in front of their kids, casting out insults and demoralizing each other, later passing down the same pathetic behavior to their sons and daughters. Folks can’t take the high road and give someone the last word and instead take the low road through the proverbial sewage drain blaming everyone else for the day in day out emotional hydrogen bombs going off in their own living rooms. You hate being you, you hate your marriage, you hate the whole life I’m describing.

If your world is falling apart, talk to someone. There’s got to be someone you can talk to.

I’m also writing about you, the guy who won’t stop looking at porn. You don’t sleep enough, you periodically blow of friends, work, school or whatever so you can be drawn into the pixilated paradise of sex on a flat screen. You end up miserable and lonely as soon as you’re… well, finished. I mean five hundred pounds of guilt on the chest in bed at night when your head hits the pillow, the lights are out, and the computer goes into sleep mode far before you do.

If your world is falling apart, talk to someone. Don’t face this alone.

I come in contact with a lot of suffering people. Some marriages are a complete disaster; people are battling addictions to drugs, booze, sex, or whatever. Wives have to deal with lousy husbands, kids have to deal with disconnected parents… some folks just have no idea how to treat each other. I see the effects almost daily of how immature, selfish, and cowardly people can be.

If your world is falling apart, talk to someone. Pray with this person about your situation. That’s what I would do if you came to me.
