Why I Love Mondays

People ask me all the time why I love Mondays.

I love Mondays because they set the tone for the rest of the week. Pastors across the entire country are building off of Sunday which is fresh in our minds, full of stories, feedback, energy, and ideas. Mondays tend to be very productive for me.

I love Mondays because I do my best to keep from having too many meetings or appointments that day. Because Sunday is such an anchor in American churches, you never know what will come up Sunday that needs to be addressed on Monday.

I love Mondays because my wife no longer has to work and gets to live out her dream of staying home to lead and love our children. Every Monday when we pray together, I’m reminded that she is living out her dream. This makes me very happy every week.

I love Mondays because it carries an aura of “new” each week. New ideas, creative thoughts, & feedback from others. I try to read something new every Monday, whether it is a book, a blog, an article, or whatever.

I love Mondays because so many people hate them. They’re trapped in their own circumstances, they need help, sometimes they want it, and sometimes they want to be left alone. But Mondays are an opportunity to encourage someone.

I love Mondays.

Do you love Mondays?
