NOTE: In defense of recent scrutiny of the Red Cross and other similar groups, consider that this legendary organization is all over the world, including places like Oklahoma City, Cleburn and Granbury, Texas, and others, providing help after the media cycle moves on and we aren’t hearing about the needs of communities. On television there is concern at times when organizations like the Red Cross disperse a percentage of funds into other areas than the one that was designated in a donation. The short answer is that this is how the Red Cross is able to exist, and do all the stuff they do.
